Frequently Asked Questions About Our Transition to Sitwell Dental
We are excited to share that Cerny Dental is transitioning to Sitwell Dental. Dr. Julia Cerny and the same familiar team will continue caring for patients throughout this transition and into the future.
To help answer common questions, we’ve put together this FAQ page with important details about our temporary Albany location, our new permanent Latham office, appointments, records, insurance, and more.

Why is Cerny Dental changing to Sitwell Dental?
Cerny Dental is entering a new chapter through a partnership with Sitwell Dental. This transition allows the practice to strengthen its support and continue providing the personalized care patients have come to know and trust. While the practice name is changing, Dr. Cerny and her team will continue caring for patients.
Is the practice moving LOCATIONS?

Yes. Later this spring, the practice will move to its new permanent home in Latham.

Where will patients be seen during the transition?

During a short transition period, patients with appointments scheduled between April 14 and May 23 will be seen at a nearby Sitwell Dental location in Albany while the new Latham office is being finalized.

Which appointments are affected by the temporary location change?

Patients with appointments scheduled between April 14 and May 23 should plan to visit the Albany office for their appointment unless they are otherwise notified by our team.
If your appointment falls during this timeframe, please call our office for more details.
What happens after May 23?

Later this spring, we plan to begin welcoming patients to our new permanent Latham office.

If you already have an appointment scheduled, our team will confirm any location details with you before your visit. We will also continue sending regular appointment reminders. We recommend all patients confirm their current insurance benefits and network status prior to their appointment, as participation with insurance plans may change. Do I need to do anything if I already have an appointment scheduled?

Yes. Your dental records and treatment history will transfer seamlessly as part of this transition.
Yes. Our phone number will remain the same, and our team is here to help answer any questions you may have during the transition.
Will the office phone number stay the same?

Will my insurance coverage change?

Some insurance participation may change as part of this transition.
For example, Delta Dental plans will no longer be in network with the practice. Patients with these plans can still be seen as out-of-network patients, and our team will be happy to answer questions about coverage, benefits, and what this may mean for your visit.

Can I still be seen if my plan is no longer in network?

Yes. Patients whose plans are no longer in network may still receive care as out-of-network patients. Our team can help explain your benefits and answer any questions about your specific plan.
